Winter Arts Voices performance
Last Saturday 24 August, we celebrated the culmination of our Casey Arts Development Project with the performance of the Winter Arts Voices at the Selandra’s Winter Arts Solstice Soiree.
Part of City of Casey’s Winter Arts Festival, the evening saw the blossoming vocal ensemble shine, bringing the house down with sweet sounds and harmonies amongst friends, family and community members. The group, led by disabled musicians Dave & Sue Stergo, sang up a storm with gospel, folk and pop classics.
Supported by the Casey Arts Development Fund, this project has led to the employment of two disabled artists to run the 10-week program. The model is currently being adapted to continue at Selandra and provide accessible and inclusive singing for well-being opportunities in the Casey region, as well as ongoing employment for artists with disability.
AAV is proud to continue working with City of Casey. Stay tuned for summer/autumn 2020!
