‘Make time—’ by Ash Hem

Future Reset – Maker Space is a series of online and in person visual and digital arts workshops. We will help you learn new skills and give you the resources to create new works and new friends! You will have the opportunity to showcase new works at the end.  

When

We will be running workshops from March – November 2024.

In person on Saturdays, 11.30 am – 3.30 pm, or

Online on Wednesdays, 6 pm – 8 pm.

Term 1, 2 and 3 (March – July) – Visual and Digital Arts Workshops 

Term 4 (August) – professional development and digital accessibility

Term 5 (September-October) – studio time to create

Where

All online sessions will be on Zoom.

In-person

Term 1-3 and 5: Melbourne CBD (Signal and The Channel)

Term 4: Melbourne CBD (The Channel) and South Melbourne (Arts Access Victoria office)

Mediums and art forms the studio works with

We will be running workshops on Illustration (physical and digital), Painting and Printmaking.

What we provide 

We will provide you with materials and equipment to make art. There will be facilitating artists and support arts workers to support you. 

Why you should join  

This is a safe space for making art, socialising and creating community.  

If you are interested in learning new skills or trying something new, we want you to join.  

If you want to connect with your community in a fun space, we want to join. 

If you want to find out how making art can help your mental wellbeing, we want you to join. 

At the end of the program, you will have to opportunity to present new works to the public. 

Maker Space Access

The studio spaces are fully accessible with ramp access and accessible bathrooms. The materials and tools provided are tailored to the needs of the artists, with the ability to modify or acquire additional equipment when needed. Staff are professional artists and trained support workers.  All workshops will be run online as well as in person. Maker Space is a Mask Friendly space.
