In 16 years the group of whacky rockers have independently rocked 14 international tours in 11 countries, recorded 5 studio releases, won a Cannes Award, Top 20 hit in Luxembourg, AFI Nomination for their self titled Rock Documentary. In 2008 Rudely Interrupted was the first independent band to receive an invitation to perform at the United Nations in New York City. 2009 independently released their AFI nominated DVD of the UN, US, Canada & UK tour which premiered nationally in Australia on ABC TV 1 and Rohans’ appearance on Australia’s much loved national ABC TV show Spicks & Specks.
Over the years Rudely Interrupted have endured a few line up changes but the core creative force of Rohan Brooks, Rory Burnside and Sam Beke have created a path for their music careers and a stage for them to continue travelling the world and performing their critically acclaimed rock/ pop hits.
After a crazy few years, 2022 and a new record in the works and these bunch of songs are a step up and out and we can’t wait to flip them into our awesome fans ears, ‘you’re gunna love em’ says Rory.. Rudely Interrupted’s last record ‘Love You Till I Die’ toured in Germany, Sweden and Poland and Australia. Launching their second single ‘Calculus & Tea’ at the Northcote Social Club and in Adelaide at The Gov while preparing for the ‘Reclink Community Cup’ where Rory played an assistant coaching role with the mighty ‘Rockdogs’ in their Silver Jubilee year.
“We’re all about our music, it’s our music, that brings us these incredible opportunities, “I’m so proud, and to be coaching the Rock Dogs, you can’t imagine what it means to me, and my band. Feeling accepted as musicians in the music community, to be a fellow Rock Dog and to have Kram from Spiderbait come n play some drums and Ash Naylor from Even on guitar with us, wow” Says Burnside.
Performing at the ‘Ability Fest’ alongside acts Mod Con, Alex The Astronaut, Kingswood, Flight Facilities, Japanese Wallpaper and showcased their pop/rock anthems to 1000’s of Community Cup punters at Victoria Park Comm Cup alongside, Ed Keupper, Cable Ties, Kutcher Edwards and Cartridge Family.
