Lorraine Hayes

Lorraine ‘Lei Lei’ Hayes has been attending Art Day South since March 1996. Her current practice involves hand sewing, weaving, and knitting tactile treasures from recycled fabric, textiles, and wool. There is an air playfulness to her personality as well as her pieces, which are often made in silent concentration, occasionally interrupted by a spontaneous performance for anyone lucky enough to witness it.
