Weave Movement Theatre was born from the AAV Moveable Dance Project and continues today under the leadership of Janice Florence.

AAV was involved in the popular Club Wild events during this time. Club Wild went on to become the Wild at Heart organisation.

A visual arts exhibition, BodySuits, toured nationally between 1997 – 1999, and resulted in commissions and new opportunities for artists.

 

Over three years AAV worked on a Cultural Exchange program with China. Delegates visited AAV from Jilin province to learn about community arts practice. Then facilitating artists from AAV visited Jiangsu province, Jilin province and Beijing. AAV ran workshops with Disabled children in schools over four weeks.

1n 1999 AAV moved to a new office at 24 Eastern Road, South Melbourne.

AAV was an early adopter of the internet. The first AAV website launched as part of VicNet in 1995.
