When will I be notified if my entry has been selected?
Entrants will be advised by 30 April 2012

If my film is selected, when do you need to receive the screening media?

Screening media must be supplied to the festival by 15 May 2012.

What types of screening media do I have to provide?

You may supply the following high resolution PAL formats: Digibeta Tape, Blu Ray disk, AVCHD disk OR as a H.264 file.

If my film is selected, when do I need to supply press kit and stills?

Press kit and stills must be supplied by 15 May 2012

Why do you need to receive this so long before the festival?

The festival requires time to create captioned and audio described versions of all films in time for the festival in September.

Should I caption or audio describe my film myself?

No, the festival will professionally caption and audio describe all films selected for screening.

What if my film is not in English?

Films in languages other than English must be subtitled in English.

How long can my film be?
Films may be any length.

How do I pay my entry fee?

Entry fees are payable online through Withoutabox.

What genres, forms and styles are accepted?

The festival is open to all genres and all forms. However, films must be by, with or about people with a disability, disabled or deaf.

Is there a completion date requirement?

No, there is no cut off date. However, films completed since 2008 will be viewed more favourably.

Do films need to be made in a particular country?
No, projects may originate from anywhere in the world.

Do films need to be Australian or World premieres?
No, there is no premiere requirement.

What if my film already has distribution?
Projects may have distribution. However, films that have not had theatrical release or national broadcast will be regarded more favourably.

When will the festival be held?
Mid-September 2012 (Final dates to be confirmed)

Where will the festival be held?
Within the City of Melbourne (Venue/s to be confirmed)
