Silent Monologues is a ground breaking premiere production; a fusion of performance and visual arts unravelling tales in the most extraordinary way.
At the heart of the production are the stories for four deaf women, told in Auslan, captured by a live artist, and their shadow, the interpreters, voice for them… stories start to intermingle…rules are broken and boundaries are crossed.
Silent Monologues, devised by Director Medina Sumovic is presented by the Australian Theatre Of The Deaf, Deaf Arts Network and Arts Access Victoria and is proudly supported by the City Of Port Phillip and Auslan Services Foundation.
