Arts Access Arts Classes are arts programs for people with mental health issues living in the Southern Region of Melbourne, run in partnership with participating mental health services. The program has a focus on including a variety of performance-based workshops as well as traditional visual arts classes. Classes such as ‘Percussong’, a choir and percussion group, has been one of the program’s many successes.

If you are interested in joining any of these classes please contact Santha Press at Arts Access Victoria (see details below). You will then be referred to the mental health service hosting the project to establish your eligibility and to register to participate.

Arts Access Arts Classes run on any day of the week, at any time of the day. Workshops in 2010 include:

Arts Access receives funding for Arts Access Arts Classes from the Department of Human Services, Southern Region – Mental Health Services and Eastern Region for Mental Health Association, to provide programs for people with mental illness or psychiatric disability.
