Position: Arts Development Officer – Mental Health

Santha Press works at Arts Access Victoria as Arts Development Officer – Mental Health. She has been running the mental health arts program across the Southern Region of Melbourne for the past five years, focussing on developing partnerships with key Psychiatric Disability Rehabilitation and Support Services (PDRSS) to provide access to the arts for people in recovery from severe mental illness. She is passionate about the right of all people to meaningful cultural participation and the importance of the role of the arts in the creation and maintainance of healthy communities. When not at Arts Access Santha works as a performer, composer, community artist, sound designer, musical director/ teacher and lecturer in performance.
