Jo Cohen

Position: Training and Development Officer

Jo’s current role as Training & Development Officer is an exciting new position enabling her to impart her passion, knowledge and experience of the community arts sector, which spans over 20 years. Prior to this position, Jo was employed at Arts Access as an Artistic Program Coordinator, which involved coordinating ongoing art programs and major public events, for people with disabilities and mental health issues and people from socially disadvantaged backgrounds.

Prior to working at Arts Access, Jo was the Multicultural Arts Officer at The South Central Region Migrant Resource Centre, where she coordinated arts programs and events for migrant, refugee and newly arrived communities.

In addition, Jo is a professional singer and trained teacher and currently leads three community choirs and teaches singing to students from disadvantaged primary schools.

Jo holds a Bachelor of Arts (Melbourne University), a Diploma of Education (LaTrobe University) and a Diploma of Community Theatre (Northern Metropolitan Institute of Technology).
