Chris Brophy

Position: Grants Manager

As Grants Manager for Arts Access, Chris is responsible for developing strategies to secure grants for Arts Access programs and services and for building relationships with grantmakers. Originally trained as a primary teacher, Chris has worked mainly in the arts, as a librarian, film publicist, production manager, arts administrator, and most recently, in research and policy development roles. In this capacity, in 2008-09, Chris worked as a researcher and writer on Picture this!, the Victorian Government’s research project to explore ways to increase participation in the arts by people with a disability. From 2002-2004, Chris also served on the board of Arts Access Victoria. She has an arts degree from the University of Melbourne, a librarianship diploma from the University of New South Wales and is currently undertaking studies in creative writing at RMIT University.
