Janice Florence

Position: Access Development Officer

Janice Florence has recently started at Arts Access as an Access Development Officer. She will be part of the new service to replace EASE aimed at expanding access to the arts for people with a disability. Janice has worked in the disability field for 14 years, especially in information and advocacy. She has a special interest in creating universal access in the built environment. She has worked in public libraries and TAFE libraries. For many years she has also been involved in dance and performance. She is currently the Director of Weave Movement Theatre, an inclusive physical theatre company. She has sung in choirs and currently in a small ensemble. She also enjoys writing of various kinds. She has written song lyrics, comedy scripts and currently writes articles for the DiVine website. Janice has an Arts degree, Teaching diploma, Diploma of Librarianship and Graduate Diploma of Movement & Dance.
