The main gallery hosts a solo exhibition of Way Out West artist Marc Sorbello, who has created an original pack of playing cards complete with 52 original artworks on paper, one for every card of the deck, from A Spanish King of Spades to a golf bag of eight clubs. Packs of the cards are available to purchase.

About the Artist

Marc Sorbello has been a member of Arts Access Victoria’s Way Out West for 6 years, which is where he first discovered his love for illustration.

His pencil to paper has created a range of cartoon strips, portraits and playful illustrated stories.

Magic is a recurring theme in Sorbello’s work.

This series of work was inspired by Sorbello’s performed character of ‘The Jester’ which he plays in the upcoming theatrical production ‘The Feast’ to be performed by ‘Way Out West’ as part of The Sunshine Festival, 23 March 2013.

This is the first visual art exhibition to launch Sorbello’s work.

The foyer gallery space presents a rich showcase of artworks, working across mediums, launched in conjunction with The Feast – a theatrical performance in Pollard Gardens presented by Arts Access Victoria as part of The 2013 Sunshine Festival.
