Workshops at The Other Film Festival

As part of our commitment to professional development we will be holding a series of professional development workshops for artists with a disability at The Other Film Festival this year.
The Other Film Festival has partnered with Grit Media and Fed Square to provide opportunities for filmmakers and actors with a disability to develop their skills in the areas of filmmaking and acting.
Workshop participants will have the opportunity to create, shoot and star in a film that will be shot at Federation Square!
FILMMAKING WORKSHOPS:
Are you a filmmaker with a disability?
Want to improve your skills?
Frustrated by lack of opportunities?
If so, this series of workshops might be the professional development opportunity you need. With a clear focus on addressing the conceptual and practical issues of film production, you will have the opportunity to learn more and improve your craft.
Five-day workshop at Arts House North Melbourne Town Hall
Monday 17 to Friday 21 September
Topics covered include: Projects, Developing Ideas & Pitching; Script Development; Directing & Technical skills development; Pre production and Production.
Applicants MUST have film/video production experience.
You will need to submit a simple application:
* What films have you made?
* What was your role?
* What are your goals as a filmmaker?
* What do you want to get out of this workshop?
* Are you available between 9am to 5pm Monday 17 to Friday 21 September?

ACTING WORKSHOPS:
Interested in acting and want to have a try?
Want to have fun in a supportive environment?
Learn the skills and get a taste of acting for screen.
These four workshops are for people with a disability who have little or no experience in acting for film, video or television. This is a great introduction to the basics of screen acting.
Four-day workshop at Arts House North Melbourne Town Hall
Tuesday 18 to Friday 21September.
Skills covered include: Acting Skills; Character & ideas development; Rehearsing and Filming.
No previous experience required.
Applicants will need to submit a simple application:

* Are you available between 9am to 5pm Tuesday 18 to Friday 21 September?
