THE FLUID INK PROJECT

The Fluid Ink Project is the culmination of artwork created by ‘Artstop 21’ – a collective of twenty local emerging artists from Brunswick, including residents of Stewart Lodge Supported Residential Service and visitors to The Olive Way Drop In Centre.
The body of artwork is vivid and dreamlike, conveying over twenty intimate, powerful narratives as told through sculpture, mixed media, stop-motion animation and sound installation.
The Fluid Ink Project is curated by acclaimed local visual artist Elyss McCleary and award winning sculpture artist Aliey Ball.
Collaborating artists include sound artist Claire Deak, media artist Leonie Van Eyk and animator Bernadette Trench-Thiedeman.
The participating artists are Huseyin Adiguzel, Raymond Vagi, Beverly Downs, Boo Cooper, Robert Dri, Gavin Jackson, Thomas James, Veronica Joseph, Catherine Lim, Joseph Mato, Ernest Ladner, George Paul, Anh Phung, Tracey Power, Dennis Shead, Trevor Silverwood, Geoffrey Walter, Robert Weir, Stefano Conti, Esmarelda Renaud.
The exhibition opening will showcase over twenty visual artworks for sale as well as launch the short film which brings these visual artworks to life through stop motion animation. Local musicians Ross and Victor from Stewart Lodge will perform live drums and Spanish guitar.
