Fimmakers Anne Chibnall and Tim Sedgwick visit the set of a new feature film
Recently, the film crew for the upcoming feature film ‘John Doe’ got a few helping hands from Ballarat local filmmakers with a disability Anne Chibnall and Tim Sedgwick. Anna Chibnall, who has been a passionate film maker for the last eleven years, and Tim, who has been making short films for the last ten years and has aspirations of being the next Steven Spielberg or James Cameron, jumped on the opportunity to work with the pro’s and experience the atmosphere of a feature film set.
John Doe is a thriller that explores the moral dilemma faced by a society gripped by the actions of a lone vigilante. The film is set for release next year. The film’s Location Manager Drew Rhodes made sure Tim and Anne were filled in on what was going on and showed them around, introducing them to many of the actors and extras on the film, even allowing them to be extras for one scene.
Both Tim and Anna said in their blogs that it was a great experience to visit a professional film set and see the amount of equipment required to make a major feature film. Drew Rhodes will soon be working on a show for ABC called ‘Phryne Fisher’ and is hoping to be able offer another opportunity for young artists with disabilities to join the crew on set.

“I have been making short films for 10 years, my favorite genre is sci-fi/horror, with a bit of comedy and action. I create my own stories and turn them into scripts. I make my own models, props and sets. I write and perform songs and make my own sound tracks. I also create my own effects. This years film I am making is Bunnyzilla about a giant mutated rabbit.” Tim Sedgwick
