Jojo Hynes

Jojo Hynes is a visual, collaborative artist, set designer and performer from Ireland and currently based in Melbourne.

She has an MA in Community Arts Education and a BA in Fine Art.

The common theme of her current work is her concerns with contemporary issues in the arts and in the wider social and cultural structures in which we are now living.She is the visual arts director of Tuam Arts Festival and Earwig!  She has worked with Macnas, Latchicko Productions, Galway Theatre Festival, Galway Arts Festival, Galway Youth Theatre and Aboo! Halloween Festival.

Her materials have evolved into a mix of media, film, sound, photography, painting, drawing, wall painting, collage and projection.

Jojo received the Galway County Council Artist Award in 2006 and 2010.

Her art is in the collections of Dublin Office of Public Works Art Collection, Galway County Council Art Collection and Revenue Art Collection Galway.
