CALL FOR DEAF DANCERS!

CALL FOR DEAF DANCERS FOR MOOMBA PARADE EXTRAVAGANZA!

Join in to be part of a hiphop extravaganza celebrating World Environment Day!

Some of Melbourne’s freshest urban vocalists will write and record an original song that will inspire the movement and language of the performance.

80 young people from all over the city will have the opportunity to dance and sign together.

Demi Sorono aka Demilition Bgirl will be choreographing the dance show.

Call for Interest:

We’re looking for Dancers who are Deaf and Hard of Hearing, aged 14 to 26. We’re also looking for dancers with some experience who are happy to sign-sing a song in Auslan.

Auslan interpreters will be present for all rehearsals and on the parade day. There will be an opportunity to trial in January at Footscray Community Arts Centre.

Rehearsal dates will be on Saturdays, February 12, 19, 26 and March 5.

Final mass rehearsal on Saturday 12 March.
The Moomba parade is Monday 14 March.
