Are you:

  • A Victorian with a disability?
  • A good writer who can produce original, informative and easy-to-read articles?
  • Eager to help build an online community for people with a disability?
  • Interested in a wide variety of topics related to the lives of people with a disability?
  • Able to write at least one article every month according to a fixed deadline?

If you answered Yes to all these questions, then you could be paid to write articles for the new DiVine website.

What is DiVine?
DiVine is an exciting website written for and by people with a disability. The website was launched in December 2009. It is published by the Victorian Government’s Office for Disability. DiVine aims to inform, engage and entertain. It is a vibrant, inclusive community that encourages participation.

Articles on DiVine cover a wide variety of topics of interest to Victorians with a disability. They include:

  • Feature articles
  • News stories
  • Opinion columns
  • Reviews
  • Interviews

Successful applicants:

  • Will need to sign a formal contract for a minimum term of six months
  • Will work on a freelance (external) basis as a contractor to the Department of Planning and Community Development
  • Can negotiate the terms of their individual contract.

Disability access and support services can be provided by the department on request.

How to apply

  • Complete the application form listing your contact details and areas of interest
  • Write an introductory letter about yourself
  • Include two samples of your writing that are each no more than 500 words. The articles should be suitable for publication on the DiVine website.
