Disability Services, DHS
Disability Services is a division of the Department of Human Services (DHS).
Our role is to fund providers across the non-government sector to deliver direct support and care to people with an intellectual, physical, sensory and neurological disability, and acquired brain injury in Victoria. The division also provides some care and support services to people with a range of disabilities.

Australian Human Rights Commission (AHRC)
The Australian Human Rights Commission leads the implementation of the Disability Discrimination Act 1992. This Act makes disability discrimination unlawful and aims to promote equal opportunity and access for people with disabilities.
The Commission also has major responsibilities under the international Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities.
Complaints about discrimination and breaches of human rights can be made to the Australian Human Rights Commission.
The Commission also performs a wide range of functions to assist individuals and organisations to understand their rights and meet their legal responsibilities.
We conduct public inquiries, negotiate disability guidelines and standards, support organisations to develop Sisability Action Plans and run community education programs.

DiVine
DiVine is Victoria’s first online community for and by people with a disability. The site includes stories on a wide range of topics including new technology, policies, health challenges, online dating, accessible venues, as well as scuba diving. Members of the DiVine community can join in discussions, generate ideas and submit their own articles for publication on the site.
DiVine is published by the Victorian Government’s Office for Disability.

Carers Victoria is the statewide voice for family carers, representing and providing support to carers in Victoria.
We are a not-for-profit incorporated association with a mixed core funding base mostly provided by the Victorian and Australian Governments.
We work closely with Carers Australia and the network of carer associations in each state and territory to improve the lives of carers throughout Australia.

Association for Children with a Disability
ACD is an information, support and advocacy organisation for children with a disability and their families, in Victoria, Australia.
ACD is an organisation is run by parents of children with a disability – most of our staff and committee are parents – so we know what it means to have a child with a disability. We cover all types of disability and are a non-profit organisation.
