Feeling Your Way with Felt

Rebuilding the land Project Mend piece-280x290.jpg

For adults who have a mental health issue.

Participants will learn about wet feltmaking techniques while making their own unique piece of felted art.  Participants will transform wool fibres, yarns and silk fabric into felt as they learn the process of feltmaking and the tools and materials that can be utilised.  Attention will be given to exploring techniques such as using resists, making and using prefelts and incorporating various fabrics and yarns, that can enhance surface design to create textural felt.  Participants will leave the course with the techniques and knowledge to take their feltmaking further and create other projects

Come and share the joy to be found in the color and texture of felt and create something beautiful for you to keep.
