Arts Access Arts Classes – For adults with a mental health issue living in the Southern Region of Melbourne

2010 classes roll into gear with a series of fantastic workshops in the outer regions of Melbourne’s South East!

Felting Forms with Narelle Higgins & Kerrie Rockett
A four week introduction to creating inspiring forms from felt and other materials.

When: Thursdays 1:30 – 3:30pm, February 4 – February 26
Where: The Old Cheese Factory, 34 Homestead Rd, Berwick

Heartsong with Cherie Baxter & Suzanne Gardner
An ongoing singing group with a focus on fun, uplifting harmony and relaxation. New members warmly welcomed. The group performs regularly at community venues and events for those that are interested.

When: Thursdays 11:00am – 1:00pm, February 4 – March 25/ April 15 – June 24
Where: Impact, 1 Douglas Gve, Frankston

Relax with Art with Gary Solomon & Kerrie Rockett
Visual art classes with the inspirational Gary Solomon. Participants are offered a wide variety of styles and approaches to art making, from painting and drawing to ceramics and printmaking, in the light filled rooms of Lilypond House!

When: Thursdays 10:00am – 12:00pm, February 4 – March 25
Where: Lilypond House, Duncan Dve, Pakenham.

The Dandenong Group with Lindy Macauley & Melissa Lucas
This group meets weekly throughout the year to explore a wide range of artmaking in response to the group’s interest. Last year’s workshops included painting, drawing, printmaking, large collaborative works and mosaics. Two exhibitions were also held. The art room is in the process of being moved to a new location. Watch this space for updates!

When: Fridays 11:00am – 2:00pm, from February 12 at a venue to be confirmed
